Abstract

Universities face increasing challenges in manag-ing energy consumption and improving their environmental efficiency. The use of the Internet of Things (IOT) in smart universities is one of the innovative solutions to achieve these goals. As campus energy management focuses on integrating renewable energy sources and implementing monitoring and control systems, smart universities aim to achieve energy sus- tainability. This study revolves around reviewing a group of previous research to evaluate the uses of IOT in improving energy efficiency in universities. The methods and techniques applied in this context are analyzed with emphasis on the main ideas and results reached. The goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of energy management in smart universities using IOT technologies.
