Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to JSSSEE are initially screened by the editorial team to assess their relevance to the journal's scope, basic scholarly quality, originality, and compliance with submission requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent for double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
Each manuscript is normally evaluated by two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript's originality, methodological soundness, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field.
Based on the reviewers' reports, the editorial decision may be:
• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Reject
When revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript together with a response addressing the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers when further evaluation is required.
The final decision on acceptance is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the responsible editor after consideration of the reviewers' reports, the authors' responses, and the journal's editorial requirements.
Reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential, provide objective and constructive comments, and disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their assessment.
