Copyright and Licensing Policy

Journal of Sustainable Smart Systems in Education & Environment (JSSSEE)

  1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright in articles published by JSSSEE. No transfer of copyright ownership to JSSSEE is required.

  1. Publishing Rights Granted to JSSSEE

Authors grant JSSSEE a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, preserve, index, and disseminate the article and its associated metadata, and to identify JSSSEE as the original publisher and venue of first publication.

  1. Open License

Articles published by JSSSEE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. Under this license, users may share and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and changes are indicated.

  1. Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit

Authors may deposit and make publicly available the submitted version, accepted manuscript, and published Version of Record in institutional, subject-based, or other appropriate repositories without an embargo period. Authors are encouraged to cite and link to the original JSSSEE publication and DOI when available.

  1. Third-Party and Previously Published Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining all permissions required for third-party or previously published copyrighted material included in their articles. Material not covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license must be clearly identified by an appropriate credit line specifying the copyright holder and applicable reuse terms.

  1. Commercial Reuse, Adaptation, and Derivative Works

Commercial and non-commercial reuse, adaptation, translation, transformation, and creation of derivative works are permitted under CC BY 4.0, provided the license terms are followed. Reuse must not imply endorsement by the author(s) or JSSSEE.

  1. Text and Data Mining

Text and data mining and other computational analysis of article content licensed under CC BY 4.0 are permitted without additional permission, subject to the license terms and applicable law.

  1. Website, Logo, and Journal-Created Materials

Copyright in the JSSSEE website design, logo, branding, and journal-created administrative or promotional content is held by JSSSEE unless otherwise stated. This does not extend to individual scholarly articles, for which copyright is retained by the author(s).
